What the notice says
Not fully read: this is the notice text; attached documents are not read.
Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the procurement of Mammut Pro 2.0 3L Hooded Jackets.
Requirement Overview
The current stock of Mountain Equipment (ME) Makalu student winter jackets received through procurement in 2025 are not fit for purpose for winter training delivery. The jacket is more suited to summer delivery and requires replacement prior to winter delivery this year.
To ensure suitable student jackets are available for winter delivery in the future, the currently held ME jackets will be replaced with a more appropriate alternative identified through subject matter expert guidance. The existing ME Makalu jackets will be repurposed to support summer delivery courses, thereby extending equipment longevity through seasonal rotation.
The Mammut Pro 2.0 3L Hooded Jacket was proposed by the supplier and has been verified by subject matter experts as highly suitable for the requirement.
The Mammut Pro 2.0 3L Hooded Jacket offers:
Excellent suitability for winter training delivery
Availability at the full quantity required
Availability in fire red colour to maintain student fleet identification
Competitive value for money
Gore-Tex protection and durability for demanding training environments
The existing ME Makalu jackets will transition to summer delivery support at both training locations, optimising the equipment fleet through seasonal use.
The Unite Procurement Platform
(Unite | Simplify indirect procurement with our smarter platform) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement.

Instead, multiple suppliers may be onboarded to the Unite Procurement Platform to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base, supporting flexibility and choice for the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations.
Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Unite Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline.
